What we do with
your information.

We are a one-person leather workshop at Pike Place Market, not a data business. We collect as little as we can get away with, we use it for exactly the thing you gave it to us for, and we never pass it on. This page says that in plain English rather than in six pages of legal text.

Our promise, first

• We never sell, rent or trade your contact information. There is no circumstance in which we would.
• We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers or partner companies.
• We only email you the thing you asked for. No surprise newsletters bought from someone else.
• Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works on the first click.

What we actually collect

• Your name and email, if you ask us to send you the free journaling guide. That is it — there is no hidden field.
• Whatever you write to us, if you send an email. We keep it so we can answer you and remember the conversation if you write again.
• Anonymous visit counts. We use Google Analytics to see roughly how many people read which pages. We cannot tell who you are from it.

Orders and payment

Our shop runs on Squarespace at kswbleather.com. When you click through to buy, your name, shipping address and payment details are handled there under Squarespace and the payment processor’s own terms. We never see or store your full card details. We see what any shop sees: what you ordered and where to post it.

Who else touches your information

• Kit — sends the free guide and any email you sign up for.
• Squarespace — runs the shop and checkout.
• Google Analytics — counts visits in aggregate.

Those three hold data on our behalf under their own privacy terms. Nobody else gets it.

Cookies

The site uses the cookies WordPress needs to work and an analytics cookie that counts visits. There are no advertising pixels and no tracking for ad targeting. You can block all of it in your browser and the site will work exactly the same.

What you can ask us to do

• Stop emailing you. Use the unsubscribe link, or just tell us.
• Delete you entirely. Email us and we will remove your details from our list and confirm when it is done.
• Tell you what we hold. Ask and we will send you everything we have, which will not take long.

Children

This site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

If this page changes

We will update the date below. If we ever changed something that mattered — and selling your details is not on that list, because we will not do it — we would say so rather than quietly editing this page.
